Over 90% of the regular existing drivers have committed to the alternative MX-5 racing. More than 50 drivers have already registered for the Ma5da MX5 Championship, including last year's MX-5 champion, Jonathan Greensmith. In total over 30 cars have expressed committment to joining the new Ma5da Racing Production Class.
Others registered include Tom Roche, Andy Burge, Phil Sykes, Sam Hill, Mathew Robinson, Martin Stevenson, Jonathan Blake, Martin Dooner, Steven Greensmith and Alyn Robson, but to name a few.
