Welcome to the 2011 Ma5da MX5 (mk1) Autumn Championship.

The brand new Championship concept introduced in 2009 over one weekend comprising of 3 rounds on the Silverstone Arena Grand Prix circuit is back for 2011.

Due to the unprecedented success of the Full 20 round Ma5da MX5 Championship during 2011 and the average capacity entries of over 80 cars per event, the BRSCC in conjunction with Britcar and Ma5da Racing are in the third year of the all new "Autumn" Championship.

This is designed to allow the maximum number of competitors to compete over a budgetary priced weekend. The Arena Grand Prix circuit will accommodate 58 cars on the Grid and all MAZDA MX5 Mk1 1600cc race cars are eligible providing compliant with the regulations and standard "Blue Book" MSA requirements.

An excellent opportunity to demonstrate your driving ability to receive the acclaim of winning a recognised MSA Championship or a cost effective way of testing your MX5 race car against others in preparation for the 2012 Ma5da MX5 Championship. With the added bonus of receiving FREE registration to the 2012 Championship, worth £225.00 per car and the full Hospitality will make it a race weekend not to be missed!

FREE Registration to the 2012 Ma5da MX5 Championship!

For each car entry a voucher will be presented which entitles the holder to 1 FREE registration to the 2012 Ma5da MX5 Championship. Registrations for the full Championship are per car and therefore each car can have multiple drivers at no extra cost. Registration forms and respective 2012 regulations are scheduled for full release on 1st December 2011.

How does it work?

The Championship is completely separate from the annual event.

It is a 3 round budget championship over two days, Friday and Saturday. There is one qualifying session on the Friday morning of 20min which will depict the grid positions for round 1. The first race finishing position will then depict your grid position for round 2 but with the winner of round one drawing a number between 15 and 20 which will depict a reverse grid of the front positions only.

The grid position for round 3 is your finishing position of round 2. The races/rounds are scheduled one on the Friday afternoon (see Time-table for full information) and then two on Saturday. Each of the three races is awarded finishing position points, fastest lap and pole position points as detailed in the regulations. There are NO "drop rounds"

The registration for the Championship is included in the one off price of entry at £595.00 per car.

The Venue and Organising Club

The Britcar 500 at Silverstone is the crown-jewel event of the Britcar Championship season. As GT and saloon cars battle it out over this 24 hour race starting on Saturday afternoon, you will see for yourself why racing is even more spectacular at night and have a grandstand seat free of any additional cost.
