Ma5da Racing MX5 mk3 ECU re-map
Ma5da Racing have developed a standard re-map for the MX5 mk3 race car in conjunction with Sanspeed which is compulsory for eligability, increases the rev limiter, fuel, airflow and throttle responce. It takes the car from 160ps (151BHP) to 174ps (163BHP) and increases the torque by 25lbs.
ECU re-map procedure:
Each mk3 must register the ECU fitted to the car via registration form or during the season in writting to Ma5da Racing. (Seriel Number is written on the external casing of the ECU)

A race car is required to be fitted with a Transponder at a race meeting. These can be supplied through the following supplier:
TSL (Timing Solutions Limited) 
There are two different types:
1. Battery operated transponder - this can be mounted on the car onto a quick release bracket but needs to be charged via the mains in advance of use
2. permanent wired transponder - this is hardwired and permanently fitted into the car and is powered by the car battery, usually from a live feed when the igniton is turned on.
"Alternativly you can hire a transponder at each race meeting from the official time keepers for a cost of approximatly £20.00. (This is a battery charged unit)
