Scott Kirlew confirmed as back. After several months of contemplation and even a trial in the Hot Hatch Championship, Scott has purchased his original race winning car back from Brett Walters. Brett has successfully been running in the car through 2007 and currently running 3rd in the MaX5 Championship, has withdrawn his entry for the rest of the 2008 season, sold the car and spares package to concentrate on entering the Renault Clio Winter Series later this year.

"I am looking forward to getting back on track in the MX5, even more so now I have a car I built and know inside out". - Scott Kirlew

Scott will be testing and racing this weekend at Rockingham to give the car a full shake down, but intends to be giving the Scalextric pairing of Jonathan Greensmith and Tom Roche a run for their money in the Triple header weekend at Pembrey Saturday 28th / Sunday 29th June 2008.

"It is a pleasure to have Scott come and join the increasing grids in the Nippon Challenge, Ma5da Racing Production Class. With it now fully confirmed that the MX5’s will have their own races from Pembrey we have had even more interest from both existing and new MX5 Drivers. 2009 Championship status has already been proposed with the MSA with discussions and registrations being completed. It is a very exciting time for Ma5da Racing." - Jonathan Blake, Ma5da Racing.
