Ma5da Racing confirm full grids for Snetterton, 3 weeks in advance of the event!
The last ever mixed grid race for Ma5da Racing has already been filled some 3 weeks in advance of the event. With a total grid space of 38 cars and a negotiated 21 dedicated for MX5's, all 21 places have now been booked. The Ma5da Racing double header will run on the same grid as the MR2 Challenge on Sunday 19th October with a 20 second delayed start. Therefore spectators having the advantage of watching two close wheel to wheel races on the track at the same time. Ma5da Racing have organised for the MX5 Owners Club to complete a parade lap of the circuit at the lunch break and it is expected that many more of the Owners Club will come to watch the on-track race action
"The 2008 season was always going to have shared grids as a starting point but ever since the first round at Silverstone where 27 MX5's joined the Nippon Challenge grid, it was clear that we were going to need our own grid space. During the season Red Dragon Race and Track Club (RDRTC), Steve Vince, has been 100% behind the search for separate grid space at all of the rounds. Snetterton with the Classic Sports Car Club (CSCC) was always tight on available track time, but I am pleased to confirm that this will be the last ever Ma5da race where the MX5's will have to share the grid with other cars. Brands Hatch on 8/9th November is an MX5 ONLY grid with a maximum capacity of 32 cars."
